....Our Lives Without Her!
I love all of my kids, but our little Corlee is like a giant ray of sunshine on a very cloudy day! Thank you baby girl for making me smile!

Kitchen Re-Do
I still need curtains and more decorations but the main re-do is done! I peeled most of the wallpaper off, then textured the walls, then painted. I am reall happy with the outcome but it was a major chore. My hands, back, and sholders have never been so sore! Let me know what you think!
Can't wait to get curtains but I just haven't found the material I have in mind yet! Our house is a work in progress but it has already become our HOME!
BEFORE: Look at that horrible wallpaper!AFTER:More BEFORE and AFTER shots:

Daddy Daughter Dance
Last Saturday was the Daddy Daughter Dance at church! Chloe had been very excited about the big day for several weeks. However our day was crazy and for a brief moment we were afraid Chris would miss the dance. Chloe had a soccer game and a basketball game that day, Cole went with my Sister in Law to a convention down town for the day. Well between games we get a call that Cole has fallen and they think he has broken his ankle...So off to the hospital Chris goes! Chloe is now in panic mode that Daddy won't be back. I assure her that they will go to the dance one way or another! Long story short Cole's ankle was not broken just sprain. Chris made it home in plenty of time!
She and Chris really seemed to enjoy themselves. They went to the dance, then out to dinner, and a movie! Sure wish I could get a date night like that with my husband! Here are a few pics of Our Little Princess with her Daddy, and a few of her friends!

Corlee is Fine!!!
Praise God!!! We heard back from our Dr. late yesterday afternoon. After reviewing Corlee's CT scan he has determined that she is fine. He said everything looked perfectly normal! Chris and I are soooo relieved. Perhaps we will sleep a little easier tonight. Thanks to all of you who have been thinking about our family during these scary days!

Sooooo Much to Say
First I must say SORRY to all my readers. I can't believe that it has been 3 months since I last posted a blog. I usually talk about "Bloggers" like that!
Well let me see if I can give you the nutshell version of our lives for the past 3 months! As you know we moved into our new house in October. We have been busy painting and redecorating one room at a time! Chloe's room is complete, the living room is complete, the kitchen is ALMOST there! There are still several rooms left to tackle however they will have to wait their turn!
The kids are doing great in school! Again they have managed to stay on the A honor roll. Cole is in the KC Club; that stands for Kindness and Compassion Club, they do all the charity events for the school such as toy drives, coat drive... He is such a pleaser he just loves being involved! He also was chosen to be on the UIL Storytelling team again this year. They have been working after school for several months and are getting ready for the district competition at the end of January! The dreaded TAKS test is rapidly approaching but Cole is not the least bit worried! He did great on both of his benchmark tests so I believe he will be fine!
Chloe is another pleaser! She is doing great in First Grade. She is becoming an awesome reader. The teacher is always bragging on her handwriting, she usually uses Chloe's work as an example to the class! This makes Chloe's head REALLY big! She loves being a teacher helper and often comes home and plays school.
Both of the kids are involved in sports right now. Cole will have is first Little Dribblers basketball game this weekend. He is on the Cowboys! And Chloe is finishing up a season of indoor soccer where she has become quite the goalie! She is so darn competitive that she doesn't want those balls in "HER" goal! She is also playing basketball through the Upwards league here in Forney. She had her first game this past Saturday and did score 2 for the Lady Leopards! She is not the big scorer but she did get the offense award because she can move that ball down the court! They both make us so proud!
And our little Corlee she is just the "Sassy" pants of the crew. She keeps us laughing with her singing, dancing, and super funny personality! She is quite the trooper when it comes to going to all the above mentioned sporting events! She loves to cheer for her Bubba and Sissy! Corlee did give us quite the scare the Monday after Christmas. She was getting in her chair to eat breakfast when her foot slipped and she fell straight back and hit her head HARD on the tile floor. I just knew she had busted it open, but No, she just knocked herself out. It was the scariest sight for me. She totally lost consciousness in the ambulance, but by the time we got to Childrens she had pretty much bounced back. They said she had a mild concussion, observed us for a few hours and sent us home. Chris and I are still a little paranoid about some of her actions and behaviors since the fall so we are taking her tomorrow for a CT scan. Our peace of mind is worth a lot!
The holidays were great. We had 17 people at our house for Thanksgiving. Then I think we had 17 different places to be for Christmas! Just kidding, but it does seem like you just run like crazy for the holidays. Santa was too good to the kids! New Years rang in with Chris at work and the kids and I enjoying the company of good friends!
When looking back at 2009 we have soooo many blessings in our life. Chris and I are very fortunate and we are trying hard to not take these precious days for granted! May you and your family have many blessings in 2010!
I know this post was long...trying to make up for being a slacker...I will try and do better! I leave you with a few pics from the past month or so!
