Prayer Request

Hello All
I am asking for some prayer from all of you! I have a little boy in my class who is 6 years old who has recently been diagnosed with a ganglioma brain tumor. He has had a tumor before and they removed it about a year and a half ago, but it is now growing back. Please say a special prayer for him and his family. They go back to meet with a special team of doctors next week to see what their options are but as for right now they are facing many tough decisions. Thanks I know that God will hear our call and answer our prayers.

It Is True...

Corlee is walking!

She has been toddling for a couple of weeks, but I would say that she is now "walking"! She gets so excited and is SO proud of herself! Enjoy a few of her "first" steps!

In the next video she is showing off 1 of her signs she knows! (She is so smart!)

Long Time No Post!!!

I know I know and I am sorry. When I look back at the calendar for the last 2 weeks there haven't been any major happenings in our life so I just can't figure out why I haven't had time to post.
Oh wait .... That's right I have 3 kids (2 that have been sick this week), 1 wonderful husband, a part time job, a house to keep, dinner to cook(or order out), 2 different basketball practices, baseball meetings, soccer sign ups, homework, school projects... Never mind now I remember why I get a little behind on these post!
All kidding aside we have just been busy with life! We love it though. I don't think I could stay home or be still very long! The kids are winding down their basketball season. We only have 1 more weekend of games. They are both disappointed, they have really enjoyed learning the sport. But they won't have to be disappointed long because Cole starts baseball practice this week and Chloe starts soccer practice this week! Corlee turned 11 months old this week! It really makes me sad. This year has really flown by. She is already eating "people" food, drinking from a sippy cup, and finding all kinds of things in Cole and Chloe's room to put in her mouth! I think they are beginning to think she is not so "cute"! Chris has been busy the past two weeks tuning up the lawnmowers, fertilizing, killing weeds, gearing up for the spring! It is about the time of year that I kiss him good bye in the morning and see him about dark! I really appreciate that he will work so hard so that I can be home with our kids. Our kids understand too! We have taught them well! As Chloe would say, "Grass makes Money!" Anyone need a lawn man?????

Chloe's First Date

Yes, yes it is true Chloe had her first date tonight! She looked stunning and her date was pretty handsome too! Chloe had been counting down the days for weeks. She was so excited about her date with her Daddy. Chris and Chloe attended the "Daddy Daughter Dance" at her school tonight!

We have been preparing for the big event for several days. We went last weekend and picked out her dress, I made a trip to the mall this week looking for shoes, we painted her toe nails and finger nails last night, and this afternoon right after school we went to the beauty shop to get her hair done!!! I am sure that many of you who are reading this right now are thinking what Chris and I thought..."This is so out of character for Chloe!" We agree but she has been super excited about this event for weeks. Maybe she is not hopeless...Maybe there is a girly girl in there somewhere!

So after the beauty shop we came home and finished getting ready!

About 7:00 there was knock at our door!

Chloe's "date" had brought her flowers and chocolate!
(He must have been around because he knows the way to a girls heart!)

She danced with her daddy, she danced with her friends, and seems that she told ALL her brothers' secrets to HIS friends! What are little sister's for????

This is Chloe with some of Cole's 2nd Grade friends!

After the dance the went out for ice cream! Chloe said her favorite part of the night was dancing the "YMCA" ! And she liked the Jonas Brothers music! Chris said his favorite part was just spending time with Chloe! I truly believe they both had a GREAT time! I sure wish I could have been a fly on the wall!

Tooth Fairy Visit!!!

Well it finally happened, Chloe lost her first tooth! (Without the help of the dentist.) Chloe chipped her front two teeth on the side of the bathtub when she was 1. This accident broke the root on 1 of her front teeth so when it began to decay we had to have it pulled. So she actually lost her first tooth when she was 3! But last night was a much more exciting experience! She has been wiggling that front tooth for weeks. So last night Chris whipped out the old plyers and gave it a good yank and out it came! She was so excited! She put her tooth under her pillow and hoped the Tooth Fairy would bring her $20! I did tell her I thought her expectations were a little high, I mean when I was a kid the tooth fairy left me a quarter.

But when she woke up this morning she was very excited to see the $5.00 that the Tooth Fairy had left. (Doesn't the Tooth Fairy leave more for the first tooth than any other tooth???)

One Down One To Go

Bought two really "shabby chic" dressers for Corlee's room in Canton a few months ago! When I saw them at Canton I knew they were just what I wanted. I bargined (Ihate doing that) with the lady and got what I thought was a really good deal on the two of them. I called Chris and he drove from Oklahoma (not kidding) to pick them up for me. He took one look at them and told me I got ripped off. I convinced him that ther were "perfect" they were "just what I was looking for"!
So we got them home and in the house they did not even look white, as a matter of fact they were not even the same color. But they were "just what I wanted". So a few days went by and two of the drawer bottoms fell out, some of the drawers were extremely hard to open, one knob fell off... Well my "shabby chic" purchase had turned in to "shabby shit" but I could not let Chris know how I was feeling or I would have to hear, told ya so!
But needless to say I could not deal with these "shabby" pieces any longer. So I decided that I would fix the drawers, strip, and repaint these darling pieces! Well 1 down 1 to go!

Before my handy work!

After all my hard work!

It's hard to tell in my pics, but Chris' mom hand painted all the knobs for me! They are really cute!

Now I have to finish the second dresser!

HE sings, SHE scores, and SHE dances!!!

Another exciting week at the Thomas house! At the kids school they have an academic Pep Rally at the end of each 6 weeks to recognize special achievements for grades 2 - 6! Cole has gotten to "run" around the gym for being on the A Honor Roll at all the pep rallies so far! And this time Cole was awarded the "Music" award for 2nd grade for this 6 weeks! I was proud of him while at the same time I was very shocked! Cole does not strike me as a singer and if you heard what I hear coming out of the shower I am pretty sure you would agree with me! Anyway I was telling him how proud I was , then I asked him..."So Cole are you a really good singer in class?...Do you really like music?" And he replied "No mom, I don't really sing! I am just funny and Mrs. Pratt just likes me!" So with that I am not sure how he got the award!
Chloe on the other hand really continues to excel on the basketball court! She was awarded the "Offence" star again this week! Probably because she scored 5 baskets this week! Wow, I sure am glad we did not offer $ for each goal! There are no pictures of her shots because Chris was trying to watch both of the kids play at the exact same time on adjacent courts while I was at a CPR training!

Tounge Out...Game On!!!

This week Corlee has continued to make us smile as well! She is getting such a personality! She also thinks she is as big as Cole and Chloe. She is trying very hard to walk! She has taken about 5 consecutive steps. However she pulls up on everything and walks around anything she can! All of her walking and pulling up is resulting in many bumps and bruises! She doesn't seem to mind, she just keeps on going! Here is a video of her new favorite thing DANCING! See I might have one girly girl that wants to dance!
The video is a little long...but she is so darn cute!
